JOIN US as we honor both old friends and new, in this performance that will include a work by long-time Ithaca resident and faculty member of Cornell University, Steven Stucky. We pay tribute to the late composer’s influential career and significant contributions to the field by performing his Colburn Variations for strings. The CCO strings will also be featured in the captivating Serenade by Elgar.
We proudly present Christina Bouey, our recently-appointed concertmaster, in her solo debut with “Ithaca’s Orchestra.” Described as playing “with exquisite, quivering beauty” her performance of the daunting Beethoven concerto is certain to mesmerize and leave you eager to hear her again.
