Red Chair Spotlight #2 (Sera Smolen)
Saturday, May 8, 2021
3:00 pm - 4:00 pm First Presbyterian Church
THIS SPECIAL OFFERING, now in its third season, features our talented Red Chair musicians, those whose chairs have been sponsored by a generous donor. This recital will showcase individual musicians in unique programs, created by the performers themselves.
Our second Red Chair Spotlight of the season will feature cellist SERA SMOLEN, whose chair has been generously sponsored by Elmira Savings Bank. The program will include Mozart’s Flute Quartet, Mozetich’s Fantasia on a Lost Language, and additional pieces by Faure, Freudman, Stravinsky and more. We are honored to have a number of guest artists joining in this celebration of the cello.

What Should I Expect at a Concert?
— Each ticket can be used to attend in-person (pending capacity limits) OR you can join the concert via livestream.
— Physical distancing (6 ft minimum) and face masks will be required at all CCO concerts.
— Shorter programs (usually about 60 minutes) with no intermission.
— General admission seating so you can more easily observe physical distancing guidelines.
All tickets must be reserved in advance (though you may pay at the door). Ticket sales at the door will be temporarily suspended since we need to track the number of in-person audience members to ensure we stay within the permitted capacity at each venue.
