Canceled: Center Stage Brass

Sunday, May 3, 2020

3:00 pm First Baptist Church

Due to the coronavirus situation, this program must unfortunately be canceled.

To all our subscribers and single ticket buyers, we want to apologize for this unexpected change.  Please hang on to your tickets so you can exchange them for a ticket to a chamber music concert in the 2020-21 season.  You’re also welcome to donate them back to the CCO in return for an acknowledgement letter for your records.  Please contact our office if you would like to donate the value back, or if you have any other questions.

Thank you very much for your continued support of the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra and we hope to see you at a future concert.  On behalf of the entire CCO, we wish you and yours continued good health.

ROSSINI: Sonate a Quattro No. 6 in D Major “La Tempesta”
NICHOLAS WALKER: Paris Skies for Cello and Bass
EWALD:  Brass Quintet No. 1
NEW ORLEANS RHYTHM KINGS (arr. Gale): Tin Roof Blues
C. WILLIAMS / S. WILLIAMS:  The Royal Garden Blues
LEW POLLACK (Cooper):  That’s a’Plenty

Our Chamber Music Series ends with a program that spans the centuries and brings together an incredible mix of genres.  Moving from a violin duo to a Romantic era brass quintet by Ewald, this incredible program concludes with modern works by Ithaca College professor Nicholas Walker and jazz legends such as the New Orleans Rhythm Kings.

This performance will be presented “in the round” giving listeners a unique opportunity to sit on all four sides of the performers.  Audience members raved about the experience when we introduced this format, so we just had to bring it back!

All ticket-holders are invited to a reception immediately following the performance. It’s a wonderful way to spend an afternoon with memorable live music, while getting to know our musicians and your fellow music-lovers a bit better.
