Enjoy live music on Cayuga Lake
We’re teaming up with Discover Cayuga to combine two of Ithaca’s greatest resources: the beauty of Cayuga Lake with the beauty of live music. Join us for a special one-hour cruise around the lake, featuring CCO musicians Susan Waterbury (violin) and Elizabeth Simkin (cello). They’ll be joined by fellow Ithaca College faculty member Kyle Armbrust (viola) as they present a captivating arrangement of Bach’s Goldberg Variations for string trio. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to hear meaningful music performed live, surrounded by the nature that makes our region such a wonderful place to live, work, and visit.
Discover Cayuga’s boat (The Teal) normally accommodates 80 passengers, but due to the need to prioritize safety and health considerations, only 22 tickets will be sold for each cruise. Be sure to book your ticket today before these cruises sell out! Proceeds will benefit both the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra and Discover Cayuga.
September 23, 2020 / 5:30 – 6:30pm
Senior/Student discounts available.
For additional details about the boat, along with other changes that have been made to accommodate health recommendations, please go to Discover Cayuga’s website.
Susan Waterbury (L) is Professor of Violin at Ithaca College, a member of the CCO, and a former funding member of the Cavani String Quartet.
