Benjamin Dettelback

Principal Trombone

“Even though I’ve only played one concert with the CCO, I’m really excited to add to the amazing energy this group has in the future!”

Originally from Martinsville NJ, Benjamin Dettelback is currently pursuing a B.M. in Trombone Performance at the Eastman School of Music studying with Larry Zalkind. He has performed as a substitute with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and Symphoria! (Syracuse, NY), as well as being a part of ensembles at Eastman such as the Eastman Wind Ensemble, Philharmonia, and Trombone Choir. He was invited to compete as a finalist in the International Trombone Association (ITA) Alto Trombone Competition, as well as offered orchestral fellowship positions at both the National Orchestral Institute-Festival in Washington D.C. and the American Institute of Musical Studies (AIMS) in Graz, Austria.
