Lauren Osaka was appointed Second Flute/Piccolo of the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra in 2013. She has performed with the Binghamton Philharmonic, the American Youth Symphony, and the Sunflower Festival Orchestra. She made her solo debut in 2006 with the San Jose Youth Symphony, and has since performed as soloist with the Eastern Symphony Orchestra and the National Repertory Orchestra, as well as on the NPR radio show “From the Top.” She is currently working towards a Performance Certificate at the Manhattan School of Music, studying with Robert Langevin. She received her Master’s degree from Mannes College with Judy Mendenhall, and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California with James Walker. Her summers have included time at the Aspen Music Festival, Le Domaine Forget (Canada), Eastern Music Festival, the International Festival-Institute at Round Top, and the National Repertory Orchestra.
