Betsy Darlington
Violin
“I feel privileged to be playing in such a fine orchestra. Not only are the other players fine musicians, but wonderful human beings, as well.”
Betsy Darlington joined the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra in 1981. Her primary teachers included Irma Zacharias, Benno Rabinof, and chamber music with John Hsu. In addition to many years of teaching violin and performing, she is also a long-time volunteer nature teacher for an elementary school in Ithaca. Her lifelong passion for land protection and caring for the environment led to being the 2003 recipient of the Richard Fischer Environmental Conservation Award.
