Become a Volunteer!
The CCO is always ready to welcome new volunteers to join our organization and help with a variety of projects, big and small. Whether you have a particular area of interest (fundraising, education, concert operations, etc.) or whether you’re new to the idea of volunteering, we’ll gladly help find the best way for you to get involved.
Send a message to general@CCOithaca.org with your contact info and a little background about your interest in the CCO, and our Volunteer Coordinator will be sure to respond.
Each year, we have our annual Volunteer Appreciation event in August which gives us an opportunity to offer our thanks to all who have volunteered throughout the previous season. Our board began this tradition five years ago and we love having new faces join us each summer.
We look forward to welcoming you to the CCO family!
We want to match anyone interested in helping, to a volunteer need that matches your skills, interests, and availability. Here is a sampling of some of the ways we can use volunteer hours:
Concert Assistance: Ushers & Ticketing, help with mailings, selling raffle tickets for our fundraising efforts. These roles are great for those with just a little bit of time to donate.
Administrative Support: Contacting program advertisers, data entry, research and organizing to help our Development efforts, assistance behind-the-scenes for our annual Benefit Auction. If you have some experience in general office work and/or need something that’s flexible, this type of involvement may be perfect for you.
Special Projects: Managing aspects of our annual Benefit Auction, leading small fundraising projects or being part of a team working on a specific event. For those who are interested in playing a larger role in the CCO, have fundraising or project management experience, of have a few more hours of their time to donate, we’ll be glad to talk to you about any of our ongoing or one-time special projects that are in the works.
