BERNSTEIN: Overture from Candide
     Side-by-side with CCO Youth Orchestra

BARBER: Violin Concerto, Op 14
     Christina Bouey, violin

SCHUBERT: Symphony No. 5 in B-flat major, D. 485

Bernstein’s sparkling overture from Candide, performed with our CCOYO students, begins this Orchestral Celebration. CCO concertmaster Christina Bouey takes centerstage with Barber’s memorable Violin Concerto. Composed when
he was only 19, Schubert’s Symphony No. 5 melds his own style and complexity with the influence of Mozart into a completely enchanting work. The evening begins with our always-popular annual Benefit Auction.

What Should I Expect at a Concert?
— Each ticket can be used to attend in-person (pending capacity limits) OR you can join the concert via livestream.
— Physical distancing (6 ft minimum) and face masks will be required at all CCO concerts.
— Shorter programs (usually about 60 minutes) with no intermission.
— General admission seating so you can more easily observe physical distancing guidelines.

All tickets must be reserved in advance (though you may pay at the door).  Ticket sales at the door will be temporarily suspended since we need to track the number of in-person audience members to ensure we stay within the permitted capacity max at each venue.
