Audition Information

The auditions originally scheduled for March 29, 2020 have been canceled. We deeply regret any inconvenience this causes to candidates.  The cause for the cancellation was beyond our control, due to the ongoing situation around COVID-19 and the various restrictions and safety recommendations that have resulted. The audition will be rescheduled for Sunday September 27, 2020. This audition will be for:
— Principal Trumpet
— Principal Timpani/Percussion

Qualified candidates are invited to send a one-page résumé by August 27th to personnel@CCOithaca.org.  The list of required excerpts will be sent upon receipt.  Candidates may also be considered for the sublist.

The CCO is a per-service orchestra with five orchestra concerts, a chamber music series, special events, and school and family performances each season.

Please note we are unable to assist with visa applications.  All musicians and staff must be eligible to work in the United States.

 

Employment Information

INTERNSHIPS:   If you are interested in being considered for internships (short or long-term), please contact our office, and submit a résumé with letter of interest.  Internships are unpaid, and are considered on a rolling basis.

VOLUNTEERS:  We’re also always interested in speaking with potential candidates for our Board and in welcoming new volunteers.  Please contact us if you’re interested in being considered.

We are currently seeking a Coordinator for our Bed & Breakfast program.  You do not need to be a current volunteer with the CCO, but some volunteer experience would be beneficial, along with strong organizational skills and an appreciation for the CCO’s mission.  Please contact our office if you are interested in learning more.
